Our story

Built by a mum who just wanted her daughter to call her nan.

No grand tech ambitions. Just a simple problem that didn't have a good answer.

My daughter is five. She is loud, funny, and has an awful lot to say. She's also not remotely ready for a smartphone — and honestly, neither am I.

But we have family overseas. Grandparents, cousins, aunties who want to be part of her life despite the distance. A traditional landline would rack up an international bill. A smartphone would open a door I'm not ready to open. There was no good middle ground.

So I built one.

“Connection without the complications. Protection without the isolation.”

Granny Phone is a managed calling device — it looks and feels like a phone, but it only calls the people you've approved. No internet. No apps. No strangers. Just the people who matter.

It's designed for kids who aren't ready for a smartphone, and for grandparents who never wanted one in the first place. It's for families spread across time zones who still want to hear each other's voices. And it's priced so that calling overseas doesn't mean choosing between connection and the electricity bill.

What we believe

Simple is a feature

Setup takes minutes. Day-to-day operation requires nothing. And when something does trip you up, our guides are written plainly — no jargon, no assumptions.

Connection is a right

Distance shouldn't mean silence. Kids deserve to know their relatives. Grandparents deserve to hear their grandchildren grow up.

Parents should decide

You know your family. You approve the contacts, you set the rules. Granny Phone just makes sure they stick.
