Granny Phone (ABN 62 966 865 087) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

  • Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or place a pre-order.
  • Shipping information — name and delivery address for hardware orders.
  • Payment information — we use Stripe to process payments. We do not store card numbers. Stripe retains payment details under their own privacy policy.
  • Call logs — records of calls made and received through your Granny Phone (time, direction, duration, status). These are used to display your call history and calculate statistics in your dashboard.
  • Device configuration — phone names, time zones, calling hours, and linked contacts you set up in the dashboard.

How we use it

  • To provide and operate the Granny Phone service.
  • To process and fulfil your order, and communicate about delivery.
  • To process monthly subscription payments and send payment-related notices.
  • To route calls and enforce the calling rules you have configured.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, payment receipts, payment failure notices). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Third parties

We share limited data with the following service providers, only as needed to deliver the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
  • VoIP provider — call routing infrastructure for phone calls.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia or the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls. No system is completely secure; if you have concerns, contact us.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. To make a request, email us at hello@grannyphone.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
