Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Granny Phone service, operated by Granny Phone (ABN 62 966 865 087). By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Granny Phone provides a managed calling service consisting of hardware (an analogue telephone adaptor and handset) and a monthly subscription that enables calls between approved contacts. The service is designed for residential use in Australia.
Pre-orders and hardware
- The hardware purchase price is $149 AUD per phone. Your card is saved at pre-order but only charged when the hardware is ready to ship.
- You may cancel your pre-order at any time before your card is charged. Email hello@grannyphone.com.
- Shipping times are estimates. We will notify you by email before your card is charged and again when your order ships.
Monthly subscription
- The subscription fee is $12.50 AUD per phone, per month, billed monthly from the date of activation.
- You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; service continues until then.
- If a payment fails, service is paused until the payment is updated. We will email you instructions to update your payment method.
- Prices may change with 30 days' written notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service:
- For any unlawful purpose or in violation of any Australian law.
- To harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- In any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service or its infrastructure.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Granny Phone is not liable for outages caused by third-party infrastructure, including internet service providers, VoIP carriers, or cloud providers.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Granny Phone's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
